Large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma


A usually aggressive carcinoma composed of large malignant cells which display neuroendocrine characteristics. It is characterized by the presence of high mitotic activity and necrotic changes. Representative examples include lung, breast, cervical, and thymic neuroendocrine carcinomas.
