Plexiform fibromyxoma


This very rare, recently described mesenchymal tumour that is apparently specific to stomach, occurs in the antrum and pyloric region, often extending into the duodenal bulb. It occurs over a wide range of ages, from childhood to old age, equally in men and women. Clinically, the tumour manifests similar to GIST , but gastric outlet obstruction is more common. Prognosis is good, and there is no tendency for recurrence
