Plasmablastic lymphoma

Plasmablastic lymphoma (PBL) is a diffuse proliferation of large neoplastic cells most of which resemble B immunoblasts, but in which all tumour cells have the immuno­phenotype of plasma cells. It was originally described in the oral cavity but may occur in other, predominantly extranodal sites.
