Tumours of haematopoietic and lymphoid tissues
This very rare localized tumour appears to occur esclusively in the lung
Charrette EE, Mariano AV, Laforet EG. (1966)
and consists of an accumulation of mature-appearing strongly metachromatic mast cells, in contrast to the highly atypical mast cells observed in a mast cell sarcoma
Solitary mast cell "tumor" of lung. Its place in the spectrum of mast cell disease.
