Definition

Mu heavy chain disease (mu HCD) is a B-cell neoplasm resembling chronic lympho­cytic leukaemia (CLL), in which a defective mu heavy chain lacking a variable region is produced. The BM contains an infiltrate of characteristic vacuolated plasma cells, admixed with small, round lymphocytes.
