Definition

Gamma heavy chain disease (gamma HCD) is a neoplasm of lymphocytes, plasmacytoid lymphocytes and plasma cells that produces a truncated gamma immunoglobulin heavy chain, which lacks light chain binding sites and does not bind to light chains to form a complete immunoglobulin molecule.
