Acute myeloid leukaemia with mutated CEBPA usually meets criteria for AML with maturation or AML without maturation, but some cases may show myelomonocytic or monoblastic features. This leukaemia usually presents de novo.
The WHO Working Group assigned this lesion to a group of provisional entities.
