Haematological neoplasms with FGFR1 rearrangement are heterogeneous.They are derived from a pluripotent haemato­poietic stem cell, although in different patients or at different stages of the disease the neoplastic cells may be precursor cells or mature cells. Presentation can be as an MPN or, in transformation, as AML, T or B lineage lymphoblastic lymphoma/ leukaemia or mixed phenotype acute leukaemia (MPAL) (Table 3.04).
