Mixed phenotype acute leukaemia with t(v;11q23); MLL rearranged
Tumours of haematopoietic and lymphoid tissues

Definition

This is a leukaemia meeting requirements for mixed phenotype acute leukaemia in which the blasts also have a translocation involving the MLL gene. Many cases of ALL with MLL translocations express myeloid-associated antigens, but these should not be considered MPAL unless they meet the specific criteria noted above.
