Struma ovarii, malignant


A mature ovarian teratoma characterized by the presence of aberrant thyroid tissue with morphologic changes identical to thyroid carcinoma, i.e. the criteria used for malignant changes within struma ovarii are the same as those used for a diagnosis of malignancy in the thyroid gland
