This embryonal pediatric tumour manifests predominantly in the kidney (Wilms tumour). Microscopically, this triphasic tumour is composed of metanephric blastema, epithelial structures consisting of tubular and/or glomerular structures, and mesenchymal elements.

Wilms tumour occasionally arises within the cervix, usually in adolescent women. The tumours present as polypoid masses that protrude through the vagina. The prognosis is poor, but local excision and chemotherapy may be associated with prolonged survival
