Basaloid squamous cell carcinoma is an aggressive histological variant of squamous cell carcinoma characterized by basaloid features. It is composed of nests of immature, basal-type squamous cells with scanty cytoplasm, hyperchromatic nuclei, and peripheral nuclear palisading.
