Serous surface papillary carcinoma
Retroperitoneum and peritoneum


An invasive serous adenocarcinoma typically manifesting in the ovary. Cases with identical morphology have been described arising in the peritoneum, almost exclusively in women. Morphologically, serous surface papillary carcinoma may be a well, moderately, or poorly differentiated. It is characterized by a papillary growth pattern, often associated with the presence of psammoma bodies
