Basosquamous carcinoma


Basosquamous carcinoma is a variant of basal cell carcinoma which displays squamous differentiation. The neoplastic cells have more abundant cytoplasm and more marked keratinization than those of typical basal cell carcinomas. The clinical course is usually more aggressive, and the tumours may produce regional or widespread metastases
